Salt Lake City-based
Fusion-io, the heavily backed developer of flash based solid-state disk drives, said late Tuesday that it has named co-founder
David Flynn as CEO. Flynn replaces David Bradford, who shifts to become Chairman of the firm's board. Fusion-io said that Bradford had been responsible for both recruiting Apple co-foudner Steve Wozniak to the firm, and also was behind the firm's ability to raise more than $100M in venture capital and bank financing. Fusion-io is backed by Meritech Capital Partners, Accel Partners, Andreessen Horowitz, Triangle Peak Partners, New Enterprise Associates, and Lightspeed Venture Partners, and has raised over $111M, easily the most venture funding in Utah in recent years.
