Maverick Angels, a new angel investment group from California, said today that it has set the date for two of its launch events in Provo and Salt Lake City, Utah. The group--which said earlier this year that it would be opening chapters in the state--said that it is running two events this week in Provo and Salt Lake. The firm said that the Utah expansion is being headed by Brent Israelsen, CEO of Digital Ecosystems. The firm's May 6th event is at Novell in Provo, and the May 7th event is at Salt Lake at law firm Durham, Jones & Pinegar.
