Ball Aero Selected for NASA Project

Ball Aerospace & Technologies
announced today that it has been selected by NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center, to build a device as part of Goddard's Global Precision Measurement mission. The firm said it will build out a Global Precipitation Measurement Microwave Imager (GMI), which is being used as part of a mission to measure precipitation from space. Ball said the mission is expected to launch in 2013, and will help improve climate, weather, and hydrological predictions. Financial details of the win were not disclosed.
