Boulder-based
TechStars, the Internet startup incubation program, has opened up its applications for its Boston program, one of the group's organizers said today. Brad Feld, a venture capitalist and founder of TechStars, said that the group has decided to move its Boston program to spring, so that it does not conflict with TechStar's Boulder program, which is held in summer. TechStars invests seed capital and provides an organized mentoring program to help prospective Internet entrepreneurs get their companies off the ground; the firm launched into the Boston area in February of last year. Feld explained in a blog post that the offset between the programs was, in part, to allow himself and co-founder David Cohen to spend more time in Boston.
