Tempe, Arizona-based LifeLock, the venture-backed provider of identity theft prevention services, said Wednesday that it has partnered with MENTOR, a nonprofit focused on providing mentors to children, on educating consumers about the dangers of identity theft. According to LifeLock, the deal will offer discounted services to participants in MENTOR. LifeLock will also help sponsor a program by MENTOR which helps mentoring programs conduct background checks on potential mentors.
