Broomfield, Colorado-based eSoft, a publisher of Web filtering applications, reported Wednesday that it has promoted Patrick Walsh to chief technology officer. Walsh, company noted, had previously held product management, marketing and threat prevention team positions for the firm. Jeff Finn, eSoft's chief executive officer, billed Walsh's promotion as "well deserved" and described Walsh as a "driving force" behind the development of the company's SiteFilter Web filtering software.
