Lumension Agrees to Acquire Securityworks
Scottsdale, Arizona-based security software maker Lumension Security announced Monday that it has agreed to acquire Securityworks Inc., a Texas-based publisher of compliance and risk management applications. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed. According to Lumension, acquiring Securityworks will strengthen Lumension's position in the operational endpoint security vertical because it plans to integrate Securityworks' information technology compliance and risk management capabilities with its operational endpoint security solution suite. Lumension is headquartered in Scottsdale, Ariz., and maintains operations throughout the U.S. and across the globe. Securityworks is based in Dallas, Texas.
