IQNavigator, a developer of software for managing corporate spending, said Tuesday that it has received a patent for technology used in its software for matching candidates to job requisitions. According to the firm, it was awarded U.S. Patent No. 7,457,764 entitled, "System and method for matching human resources to human resource needs." According to the U.S. Patent and Trademark office, the patent was actually granted back in November of 2008, and names IQNavigator's Chief Architect John Bullock, John Motler, and John Miller as inventors. The patent has been in the works since December of 2000, and was filed for the company by Hogan & Hartson LLP. IQNavigator is now owned by private equity firm GTCR Golder Rauner.
