A systems integrator and colocation firm,
Technologent, said Thursday that it has opened up a 47,000 square foot colocation facility in Montana, targeted at supporting companies in Montana and for firms looking for a low-cost, remote data center. According to the firm, which is based in California, it opened up the colocation facility in 2008, offering a potential cost savings of 30-70% to its customers. The firm said Montana offers one of the lowest electricap power costs in the US, is located in an area unlikely to be affected by manmade threats or major natural disasters, and which as untapped dark fiber capacity, in addition to no sales tax on equipment.
