Valen Technologies, a maker of predictive modeling software for the property and casualty insurance industry, reported Tuesday that it has hired Andrew Murray as executive vice president and chief financial officer. The company said Murray will oversee all of its financial and legal interests, as well as human resources, investor relations and administrative services. He will report directly to Dax Craig, Valen’s president and chief executive. Prior to joining Valen, the company noted, Murray was senior vice president and CFO with HomeSphere Inc. He has also held executive positions with VisionAir, SignalSoft Corp. and Dynamic Information Systems Corp. and management positions with the Murray Equipment Co., AT&T Communications and Mountain Bell, Valen said.
