GeoSpatial Targets Consumers
Thornton, Colorado-based GeoSpatial Experts announced this morning that it is targeting consumers with a new version of its digital mapping software. The firm said that it is rolling out GPS-Photo Link Express, a consumer edition of the firm's photo mapping software, to allow consumers to capture the GPS coordinates of where they are taking their digital photos. The software uses handheld GPS receivers, collecting information about location data, and mapping them later to digital photographic images which were taken at the same time, automatically tagging and adding GPS locations to the photos. The new software retails for $149, a little less than half the firm's professional version.
