Plasmon Goes To Alliance Storage Technologies
Colorado Springs-based Alliance Storage Technologies has acquired all of the assets of ill-fated optical storage maker Plasmon, the firm said this week. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Alliance said that the asset acquisition includes all patents, copyrights, trademarks, technologies, and related intellectual properties for library, media, and drive technologies, as well as the manufacturing facilities and repair processes for the firm. Alliance said it will support Plasmon's existing products. Plasmon was purchased from creditor Silicon Valley Bank out of default.
