Level 3 Communications Inc., a provider of fiber optics-based telecommunications services, revealed Monday that it has extended its Vyvx services platform into Europe. The Broomfield, Colo.-based company explained that its Vyvx suite distributes fiber-based broadcast video to major television networks and other partners within the entertainment industry. As part of its expansion into Europe, Level 3 said, it has implemented point-of-presence facilities to its London gateway. Level 3 also said it has added satellite downlink capabilities to its Berlin office, giving the company four satellite facilities; the others are sited in Atlanta, Denver and Los Angeles.
