Boulder, Colorado-based social search engine OneRiot.com reported recently that it has hired Alessio Signorini as director of search technology. In this role, OneRiot said, Signorini will work with staff technicians to optimize delivery of its socially prioritized search results. Prior to joining the firm, Signorini served as director of technology for Ask.com, a popular information and search service. OneRiot noted that, while at Ask.com, Signorini led that firm's natural language processing, ranking optimization and query classification initiatives.
