DirectPointe Inc., a Salt Lake City, Utah-based provider of managed IT services, reported this morning that it has promoted James Martinos to the role of president and chief executive officer, effective Dec. 31. Martinos, the company said, has served as chief operating officer since joining the firm in 2005. He succeeds Michael Proper, who DirectPointe said will step down from DirectPointe in order to become president and CEO of startup CentralPointe Inc. Proper will continue to serve as co-chairman of DirectPointe's board, the company noted.
