First Solar In Deal With Italian Firm
Tempe, Arizona-based First Solar, which manufactures thin-film based solar modules for the photovoltaic energy market, said Wednesday afternoon that the firm is in a new agreement with a solar power plant developer in Italy. According to First Solar, it is in a new long-term module supply agreements with Sorgenia Solar, which develops grid-connected solar power in Italy. First Solar also said it has inked extended agreements with existing customers EDF Energies Nouvelles, Ecostream, Juwi and Phoenix Solar AG. The company said the new deals add 525MW of volume and will be woth approximately $800M between 2009 and 2013.
