StillSecure Ships Free Security Software
Superior, Colorado-based StillSecure, a provider of network access control and other security tools, said Wednesday that the firm has shipped a new, free version of the firm's vulnerability management software, StillSecure VAM. According to the company, its StillSecure VAM Lite is a freeware version of its products, an will scan up to 100 infrastructure and endpoint devices to determine their vulnerability to security threats. The firm said the new freeware offering is targeted at helping mid-market organizations lock down their networks without breaking the bank. The offering is the latest in freeware versions of the company's enterprise tools; the firm offers its enterprise versions to users with larger numbers of devices, who need centralized administration, or who have compliance reporting requirements.
