Phoenix-based Aegis Technologies Inc. reported Tuesday that it has hired Larry Hagewood as president and chief executive officer. Already a member of Aegis’ board of directors, Hagewood succeeds Robert T. Sill, who founded the company in 2002. Aegis described Hagewood as a 25-year veteran of the software and systems industries, a significant amount of which was spent serving utilities and other industrial infrastructure businesses. Prior to Aegis, he was president and CEO of SPL WorldGroup, a software firm that catered to global utility operations. Aegis said he joined SPL in September 2005 and helped the company double its revenues to more than $200 million before its October 2007 sale to Oracle Corp. Aegis is a provider of IP control technology for the manufacturing and other industries.
