Prostor Ups Storage Capacity
Boulder-based storage systems provider Prostor said Monday that it has upped the capacity of the firm's removable disk technology. Prostor said it now supports up to 500GB native capacity on the firm's removable disk cartridges, an improvement over its 300GB cartridges. Prostor said the upgraded disks will be available from Imation and Tandberg Data, as well as OEMs of those two companies. Prostor develops the RDX removable disk format, which it licenses to data storage providers as a replacement for tape backup.
