Universal power adapter manufacturer Mobility Electronics Inc. revealed Wednesday that it has changed its name to iGo Inc. Michael D. Heil, iGo's president and chief executive officer, said in a statement that the change, which is effective immediately, was made to better reflect the company's focus on developing portable power equipment. iGo added that its Nasdaq ticker symbol has also changed. Beginning with this morning’s trading, it is now IGOI. Headquartered in Scottsdale, Ariz., iGo manufactures universal power adapters for portable computers and mobile electronic devices such as mobile phones, digital cameras and PDAs.
