Digital picture frame manufacturer PhotoVu revealed Wednesday that it plans to launch a national wireless digital signage network later this year. Mark Van Buskirk, a partner with the Boulder, Colo.-based business, said in a statement that his firm decided to expand its product portfolio after witnessing business customers use their PhotoVu wireless digital picture frames as a makeshift and cost-effective form of digital signage. Van Buskirk said the company's first network will be limited to the downtown Boulder area and will serve as a local test-bed. PhotoVu is a manufacturer of digital photo frames.
