Denver-based startup rentBits.com announced Wednesday that it has launched a test version of its rental property search engine, which serves as a single portal for renters seeking available homes, condominiums and apartments. rentBits, which is comprised of several former Google staffers, explained that its service uses an advanced search technology to crawl the Web and sort qualifying listings from major rental sites, associations and property management companies. rentBits said its beta Web service, is funded by advertising revenue and is therefore offered free of charge. Listings are updated daily, rentBits added. rentBits is a subsidiary of Rent Marketer Inc.
