Ping Identity Corp., a Denver-based publisher of secure Internet sign-on software, announced Tuesday that it has acquired various identity and access management applications and related properties from Sxip Identity Corp. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. In addition to buying the Sxip Access product line, which includes Sxip Access and Sxip Access Workgroup Edition, Ping said it has gained intellectual property, key personnel, and rights to existing customer service agreements. Ping explained that the Sxip Access product line complements Ping's flagship PingFederate utility. Additionally, since Sxip Access is an on-demand, software-as-a-service application, it helps solidify Ping's presence in the SaaS space, the company said.
