COPAN Links With Mainframe Software Firm
Longmont, Colorado-based COPAN Systems said Tuesday that it has partnered with Luminex Software, a developer of mainframe connectivity software, to link the firms' products. According to the firms, they have partnered to enable mainframe users to connect to COPAN's Enterprise MAID storage systems. The Luminex Channel Gateway software now works with COPAN's storage devices, which allows mainframe computing users to access those devices. COPAN develops a power managed array of storage drives, which are used for replacement of tape storage. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
