Denver-based NewsGator, a publisher of software and services for monitoring RSS feeds, said Thursday that it has named Jeff Nolan as the firm's Vice President of NewsGator's Software-as-a-Service business. Nolan was previously the firm's VP of Corporate Development, and has also served as CEO of Teglo. Nolan has previously worked at SAP, and been a venture capitalist focused on social media and Web 2.0 companies. NewGator's SaaS business provides widgets to online publishers, including USA Today, Media General, Discovery Channel, and CNN. Nolan is also a popular blogger, and authors the Venture Chronicles blog, which he started when he was a general partner at SAP Ventures.
