Denver, Colorado-based Intermap said this morning that it has partnered with CAD provider Autodesk. Intermap said it has become an independent software vendor to Autodesk, as an effort to combine its 3D elevation models with AutoCad's Map 3D and Autodesk MapGuide Enterprise applications. Those software products are used by GIS users such as city planners, architects, and civil engineers. Financial details of the partnership were not disclosed, however Intermap said that bundled products from the firms will be available this year from the web sites of the companies. Intermap is a provider of high-resolution, 3D models used for GIS and other applications.
