SkyeTek Inc., a manufacturer of embedded radio frequency identification computer chips, revealed Monday that a New Zealand-based manufacturer of handheld RFID readers, Tracient Technologies, will integrate SkyeTek chips into one of its newest designs. SkyeTek said Tracient will embed SkyeTek's M9 Reader Module into its Pad1-R UF Handheld RFID reader. Founded earlier this year, Tracient is headquartered in Christchurch, New Zealand. Based in Westminster, Colo., SkyeTek is venture backed by Appian Ventures, Grotech Capital Group, Palomar Ventures, Sequel Venture Partners, and TD Fund.
