Syntax-Brillian Names Hodgson CFO
High-definition television manufacturer Syntax-Brillian Corp. reported Thursday that it has appointed John S. "Jack" Hodgson as its chief financial officer. Hodgson will assume his post on Oct. 1, Syntax-Brillian said. He replaces Wayne Pratt, who announced his resignation on Sept. 12. Syntax-Brillian said Hodgson has served on the company's board of directors since June 2003. He has also chaired its audit committee, Syntax-Brillian noted. The Tempe, Ariz.-based company said Hodgson has previously served as CFO at several manufacturing and technology companies, including Simula Inc., FEI Co. and Integrated Process Equipment. He is currently a managing partner of venture capital firm Wild Turkey Equity Partners, Syntax-Brillian added.
