Fujifilm Electronic Materials said Thursday that it has acquired a unit of Air Products and Chemicals, based in Tempe, Arizona. Fujifilm, which operates a manufacturing and research operating in Mesa, Arizona which supplies photoresists, developers, cleaners & removers, polyimides and thin film chemicals and equipment for the semiconductor industry, said that it has acquired the OptiYield Positive Photoresist developer business of Air Products, but did not disclosed financial terms. Air Products' OptiYield unit is based in Tempe, Arizona, and will be transferred to Fujifilm's own facilities in Mesa. Both firms serve the semiconductor industry.
