Tempe, Arizona-based Limelight Networks, a content delivery network for digital media, reported Tuesday that Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. has adopted Limelight's technology in order to deliver system software updates to Sony’s PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Portable customers. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Limelight said its content delivery network technology will help ensure that updates as large as 150 megabytes reach Sony's PS3 and PSP video gaming consoles. Based in Tempe, Ariz., Limelight Networks also provides content delivery network services for FOXNews.com, MSNBC.com, MySpace, Valve Software and Xbox Live.
