Semiconductor manufacturer Micron Technology Inc. reported Monday that William G. Stover Jr., the company's vice president of finance and chief financial officer, will retire after Micron's current fiscal year. Micron said Stover joined the company in 1989 and has been CFO since 1994. Steve Appleton, Micron's chairman and chief executive officer, praised Stover as a “great contributor” and said the company “will miss his leadership and guidance.” Stover will continue to oversee financial matters until a replacement is located, Micron said, adding that it will begin an international search. Based in Boise, Idaho, Micron Technology Inc. manufactures DRAMs, NAND flash memory, CMOS image sensors and other semiconductor components and memory modules.
