MeshNetics, a developer of ZigBee modules and other embedded wireless networking software, announced Thursday that it has hired Pete Secor as vice president of North American operations. MeshNetics said Secor will use his 30-plus years of sales, engineering, business development and account management experience to run the company's growing North American business, which is based in Phoenix, Arizona. Before joining MeshNetics, Secor served as COO at Shortridge Instruments. He has also worked for Fairchild Semiconductor, Advanced Micro Devices and MetaLink Corp., MeshNetics said. Formerly based in Bellevue, Wash., MeshNetics's North American headquarters is now in Phoenix. The company also has offices in Moscow and Dresden, Germany.
