StorageCraft Signs OEM Agreement With VMware
Draper, Utah-based StorageCraft Technology, a provider of software for disk-based backup and data protection, said today that it is in an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) agreement with virtualization firm VMware. StorageCraft said it licensed the firm's Volume Snapshot Manager to VMware for use in VMware's Converter 3.0 product. VMware's converter software moves physical servers to a virtual environment while running. Terms of the OEM license were not disclosed. StorageCraft's software provides hot snapshot capability which allows administrators to migrate live storage volumes to virtual machines.
