Oakley Buys Eye Safety Systems
California-based Oakley, Inc. said today that it is buying the assets of Sun Valley, Idaho-based Eye Safety Systems, a provider of protective eyewear for military, law enforcement, and firefighting uses. The deal is worth $110M in cash. According to Oakley, Eye Safety Systems will contribute approximately $30M to sales in 2007, and that the acquisition will be immediately accretive. The transaction is expected to close during the first half of 2007.
