Westminster, Colorado-based Crosswalk said today that the firm has upgraded its iGrid storage systems. The firm said its iGrid 7100 Series Intelligent Storage Grid System now supports Infiniband and four gigabit per second Fibre Channel storage. The firm said that it has doubled the amount of cache and increased the number of Gigabit Ethernet ports on its nodes, along with using dual-core 64-bit processors, in addition to the inclusion of Infiniband host channel adapters for Infiniband support. Crosswalk develops storage systems targeted at shared and high performance computing.
