Denver, Colorado-based MediaNews group, the fourth largest newspaper company in the United States, has tapped WebVisible, a provider of search engine marketing products, to provide a way for its local advertisers to place search engine ads. MediaNews said yesterday that it has started marketing TrafficMAX, an interactive advertising product based on WebVisible's products. The new service provides advertisers with full-service, search engine marketing that allows MediaNews customers toplace their locally targeted ads in sponsored search results, on search engines such as Google and Yahoo. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. MediaNews operates more than 50 newspapers and other media nationwide.
