Liberty Media Acquires BuyCostumes.com
Englewood, Colorado-based Liberty Media said Wednesday that it is acquiring Buyseasons, Inc., operator of the online costume retailer BuyCostumes.com. Terms were not disclosed. BuyCostumes.com provides costumes and accessories for Halloween, theatre groups, and performers. Liberty Media said that it believes Buyseasons is a compelling addition to the company's strategy of using video to drive television and web-based retailing businesses. The buy follows Liberty's acquisition of Provide Commerce, operator of ProFlowers, Secret Spoon, and Uptown Prime, in February. Buyseasons was advised by Pacific Crest and Foley & Lardner LLP in the transaction.
