The Utah Technology Council, an industry group that represents the technology and life sciences industry in Utah, has appointed a new chairman, the group said today. Will West, who is CEO of Control4, has been appointed as Chairman of the group. West has been a trustee of the group. The Utah Technology Council recently formed as a merger between the Utah Information Technology Association (UITA) and Utah Life Science Association (ULSA), the Utah Technology Council. The group also said that it has added Brad Walters of MaxStream, Shawn Adamson of XO Communications, Alan Hall of MarketStar, and Dinesh Patel, a venture capitlist at vSpring to its executive committee.
