Denver, Colorado-based ViaWest has raised $31M in debt financing and acquired a managed server provider in Portland, Oregon, the company said today. ViaWest said that the funding came from an undisclosed New York financial institution. The secured funding will be used to replay existing debt and fund the acquisition of Portland, Oregon-based Fortix, a managed service provider. The company also said that it would use $18M of the funding for additional expansion and acquisition. Fortix is a provider of colocation and managed hosting that serves the midsize market. ViaWest is a provider of hosting and managed services that primarily serves Colorado and Utah.
