Kaysville Utah-based Growth Utah Ventures said Monday that it has committed a $15M fund to invest in Wasatch Front and northern Utah entrepreneurial companies. The firm said that it would focus on early-stage, funding not provided for by traditional venture capital outlets. The firm is headed by Alan E. Hall, and said that it has been looking to establish angel groups in the Salt Lake, Weber, Davis, Cache counties, and other areas of the state. The company recently opened E Station, a business incubator housed in the former Ogden Historic 25th street bus station.
