Lytx Moves Manufacturing Back To The US

San Diego-based Lytx said today that it is moving its manufacturing back to the United States from China. According to Lytx, which manufactures video-based vehicle safety systems for the commercial and government market, it will bring 70 new jobs and a $50M investment to Logansport, IN, where it expects to ramp to full production in March of 2018. Lytx said the deal will help it reduce import tariffs and avoid overseas transport costs. Lytx is manufacturing its devices with contract manufacturer Cal-Comp USA, which has a plant in Logansport.
