FanAI Picks Up $1.8M For eSports Monetization

Santa Monica-based FanAI, which is developing artificial intelligence software specifically aimed at e-sports monetization, said today that it has raised $1.8M in a Series Seed funding. The funding was led by Courtside Ventures, and also included Greycroft GC Tracker Fund, BDS Capital, CRCM Ventures, Sterling.VC, Loot Ventures (Manny Anekal, Dan Porter), Expansion VC, QB1 Ventures, Rosecliff Ventures, Catalyst Sports, Jason Robins (founder of DraftKings), Jordan Rambis (former VP Business Development at aXiomatic) and Everblue Management. Greycroft GC Tracker Fund is apparently a new, a new augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), and esports fund run by Greycroft. More information »
