Aviir Finds $10M In Financing For Heart Risk Testing

Irvine-based Aviir has raised $10M more as part of a financing round, as part of a third tranche of funding. The firm develops heart risk testing technology, to help prevent cardiovascular disease. The firm said the funding came from Partners & Partners, along with its current investor growth. The firm had launched its current round of funding in December of 2011. According to Aviir, the new funding comes due to meeting successful revenue milestones. Aviir said investors in the round also included Merck Global Health Innovation Fund, which led the funding, along with Bay City Capital, Aberdare Ventures, and New Leaf Venture Partners.
